The dogwifhat (WIF) memecoin frenzy has reached new heights, with a non-fungible token (NFT) of the viral dog photo selling for a staggering $4.3 million. Additionally, the community has raised funds to display the iconic image on the Las Vegas Sphere.

On March 18th, crypto trader Gigantic Rebirth Ventures secured the NFT of Achi, the dog behind the WIF memecoin, for 1,210.8 Ethereum in an auction on Foundation. The listing described the image as a meme that captures hearts worldwide.

In response, WIF surged by approximately 10%, reaching $2.55 and recording a 37.3% gain in the last 24 hours. This sale follows the memecoin’s supporters raising over $696,000 in USDC to display the pink-hatted mascot on the Las Vegas Sphere.

X user X Ansen initiated the plan on March 11th, aiming to raise $650,000 for the display. While some criticize it as a bull market top signal, the community remains excited about the prospect of seeing their beloved mascot on the 1.2 million LED structure.WIFE’s impressive surge has positioned it among the top-performing meme coins of the year, currently ranking 44th by global market cap.
