Saga, a leading Layer-1 protocol and developer ecosystem in Web3, has unveiled a new game publishing division called Saga Origins. This is an important step in the industry, enabling developers to partner with the company and release their projects.

Saga Origins aims to offer a “full service and collaborative approach” to bringing games to market, providing support for user acquisition, community building, and promotional efforts. While no games have been announced for the label yet, Saga is showcasing network games like Rogue Nation this week.

“Saga Origins is our love letter to the developers building games in Web3,” said Saga co-founder and CEO Rebecca Liao. “While the onus of bringing users to the platforms often falls on the game developers, we want to buck that convention and use our platform to bring users to the games instead.”

Liao added, “Saga Origins will allow developers to bring provocative, expansive, and uncompromising games to consumers that will revolutionize how we will all view games.”

In addition to the Saga Origins announcement, the company revealed that its Saga mainnet is set to launch sometime in April.

Saga recently also launched an airdrop claim following months of play-to-airdrop competitions, benefiting DeFi token stakers and holders of NFTs like the Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks.

With this innovative approach, Saga aims to foster a thriving game development ecosystem and bring cutting-edge web3 games to market, solidifying its position as a pioneering force in the rapidly evolving world of decentralized gaming.
