Chinese Official Proposes Boosting Blockchain Infrastructure – Money Wiper Crypto News Blog

A Chinese lawmaker has submitted a proposal at the Two Sessions meeting in Beijing, advocating for the expansion of blockchain infrastructure to strengthen government services and economic sectors across the country.

According to  reports, Dong Jin, a member of the National People’s Congress, has formally suggested enhancing China’s blockchain infrastructure and establishing industry standards to support various areas, including government services, supply chains, and trade.

Jin, who oversees a national blockchain research center in Beijing, highlighted the potential of blockchain technology in managing the vast data resources generated by China’s booming digital economy.

According to reports, the proposal aims to develop a blockchain-based system intended for various industries, such as maritime transport, supply chain finance, and energy.
While China maintains a ban on cryptocurrency trading and mining, the country is actively exploring and investing in blockchain technology and the digital economy. Major Chinese corporations, including Alibaba and Tencent, are actively working on blockchain projects.
